now SwiftIRC IRChelp channel is bullshit like the other network..
all low amount of user in there and not that active
What's the point of having the helpop for today now of day?

As far as we know, there's obviously more to being a helpop then just helping in #irchelp . . .

Not really.

+1
The only thing different from the average HelpOp to the average user is that there opinion is taken on more seriously, and that stuff they PM opers is taken a lot more seriously.

And we have the suggestion forum, and the ability to PM opers too, and unless everyone hates you (*cough*) you might get somewhere.
#IRChelp went to the bot because HelpOps wanted to feel special and take away the last thing we had in common with them, helping in #IRChelp.

And that is my take :D

Could you stop bumping old posts? This hasn't been active since July or June, obviously the discussion ended then

A lot has changed since you were a helpop, you know. Since this addition, our jobs have transitioned in to other places of the network that don't always involve #IRCHelp.

There's really no harm in bumping old topics, Grant, since the helpbot is still an active part of SwiftIRC.

Could you please name just one of them :)

Edit: And yes, I'm aware of the fact that a lot of things changed.. Unfortunately the things that changed left to the the HelpOps even less stuff to do :P Please don't take this personally or anything, I don't want to argue with you, i'm just saying...

I can pretty much assure you that HelpOps have more to do (If they choose to take part) then HelpOps in older times.

I've been a HelpOp for over 2 years, and the things we participate in now outnumber what it was when I started.

And with the possible changes coming in the HelpOp system, I'm sure the number of things will increase more.

http://blog.swiftirc.net/

Might give you some ideas of what I'm talking about.

Maybe it's just me but I don't see how your link explains anything.. Sorry, but a blog isn't that much time consuming and besides... on that blog i saw only when staff members wrote about themselves and... kinda that's it. I will stop here with this cause it's simply not constructive, but I still have the belief that I posted first.
And nobody named specific one single thing about what I asked. Like what is there more to do than helping on #irchelp. Don't say the wiki please because we had an wiki in the old days too and that's about it...
I still would like to see someone posting here and naming one thing beside those two I said above.
:)
