You've not explained it very well, you've just said that you have to make a text editor that uses a database. So you just store the input into a database and that's it? And what do you mean that the maximum number of entries is one ? Is this a challenge or a request? (Edit: Oh, nevermind, you mean f...

What's the purpose of the final product? I fail to see the productivity of refreshing a web page every 10 seconds. That's ignoring the blandness of the challenge. Two unknown functions with shortest code length is a very odd challenge. Not just that, but this challenge has been very poorly thought ...

URL file-access is not disabled on most servers. (it's enabled by default) I've been on many servers, none of which have it disabled. However, it is disabled on some free hosts. If URL file-access is disabled, the same thing should happen with file_get_contents.

Don't worry Preppysob99, people can be rude sometimes (instead of providing honest feedback in a kind way), at least you've learnt something. ;)

How can we tell you if it looks good or not if you didn't even show us the design? Either you forgot to post it, or you're lacking common sense/logic.

also, in javascript, how can i select something in an html drop down form? like, how can i select on eof the options as the one to display? That made no sense at all. Do you mean: how to choose the default option in a drop down form as when the page loads? By the way, unless you're banned from IRC,...

How do i make a post without being logged in? i dont get what you mean by that, the final thing will need...

Did you even try doing what I said? You're probably not even supposed to go to the login page for it to work. I told you to get an addon for your browser that allows you to view headers that are being sent & received, otherwise there would be no way for you to make this script work or even know ...

You need to make the script read the cookies and ****. Download an addon for your browser that lets you see cookies & headers being sent and received, and see what you can do. And you don't actually need the Host header for HTTP/1.0, it was pointless to add it.

You need to fiddle around with the headers. Try removing the \r\n at the end. See my example of HTTP Post usage here . Remove all of your fputs()s and replace them with this: fwrite($fp, "POST /index.php?act=Login&CODE=00 HTTP/1.0\r\nContent-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\nCo...

You should of typed exactly that into Google to get an answer to the question in the title of this topic.

By the way, your sig is so damn huge. (Almost) 100% of your posts are alot smaller than your sig. Your avatar is even worse if you look at your profile page.

Did you upload the image? Only you can see it if you've saved it only at your computer, you've got to upload it somewhere on an online internet server. You could upload it onto your server/web-space, or at free image hosts such as ImageShack . And this isn't really the right place to ask, these foru...

No. JavaScript is client-side web-scripting, not web-design.

Web Design is the forum that was created for HTML, XHTML & CSS. So, we already actually have a HTML forum. We already have a 'HTML' forum (Web Design forum is ONLY for (X)HTML/CSS) although there isn't much demand for it, so I don't see why you made this thread. I don't understand the people who...
